Hi all,

I have just installed omnisphere and have attempted to get my first arp going. The arp does not sync with my host DAW (ableton 8.1).

Some synths require a sync to host, however, i cannot seem to find this option in omnisphere.

Am i missing something or could it be a latency problem?

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA,

"These are all medium to highly complex vocal based sounds (I don't think there are enough of those in

Many moons ago, I started posting rough drafts and partial mixes of various movements from this project, a 28 minute slideshow featuring the work of Mexican painter Juan Ezcurdia accompanied by my original soundtrack. It will be shown on a loop in galleries around North maerica this year.

The music is made from about 60% Omni sounds and the rest come from Logic, augmented by a fine guitar solo by Ken Basman, an excellent scat solo by Bobby Kaplan, and background ...

So, now I have hooked up a novation remote25 to do that, and to play a Remote37SL.

The problem i have is, when I do a keynote learn on the R25, this will automatically do the same for the R37. Get my drift? Any ideas how I can use a second board for keyswitches only, so that the first keybaord does not sitch?

Please have a listen to a remix of my most recent song, FLY, which features backup vocals by the talented young London artist, Sophia K.

This song only has one patch from Omni, but one is enough to make it relevant, right?

Feedback welcome!

I've enabled download as I always do for the first few weeks so those of you with Macs can listen.

I wonder, I have not found out a way to record a Live Mode performance to logic yet, probably only lack of knowledge.

Rehearsing a Live mode for some time, I was very pleased with the arrangement, but can not record the switches, so far I tried it with mouse in latch mode, and key switches.

Thought I would sound you out about something that's been bugging me.

I don't know if you've ever setup Stylus RMX in a multi-out configuration but, if you have, you may have noticed that whenever you change a part it reverts it to output A. If your individual parts are going through other effects in the host (as mine often are) then this makes auditioning parts very tricky.

The only way around this is to turn off settings so that loading new parts doesn't carry change any ...

1) Load your sound in all of the 8 parts of Omnisphere

2) Set the receiving midi channel of each part to the same channel (for example channel 1)

3) Activate the arpeggiator in each part, and activate the corresponding step with the corresponding part

Part 1 will have step 1 active, Part 2 will have step 2 active, Part 3 will have step 3 active...and so on.

So...part 1 will be step 1 in the sequence, part 2 will be step ...

What do you wish for the future of stylus? Personally I am curious to see if they would try and expand the competition towards drumtools like BFD, Toontrack Superior, Drumagog or if they will stick with it as primarily a groove tool for "beats" and "electronica" oriented stuff. Having all possible drum applications in one stop shop box would certainly fit my bill, I am not too fond of switching between all these interfaces in the process.

If anybody got a special interest in either plugin and want to help maintain the forums to a good standard, feel free to send me a message.
