Post  Hans Scheffler on Sat Jan 31, 2009 2:39 am

yo
its been a while but i am back for more
here is another example of Omnisphere in action
This one highlites the mandolin and the melodica.
The only thing not coming from omnisphere is the acoustic drums-thats RMX/Liquid grooves
The electronic percussion is Omnisphere as well as the bass and the pads etc.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching

Another great Scheffler track
What I think is really nice here is you utilise chord voicings that usually is ignored in electronic music -
the minor 7th's and major 7th's and whatnot that gives a jazzy vibe Smile It is a beautiful track
Another thing is the choice of instrument sounds - I love the melodica solo and the mandolin lines - it has a very "organic" kind of quality for lack of better description.
respect cheers

Thanks PT,
i agree that cool voicings are a great way to jazz up a track and bridge the gap between the electronic arpeggios and grooves in Omnisphere and the more organic sounds like the mandolin and melodica.
Thats one thing i really like about Omnisphere- it delivers both type of sounds instantly and in fantastic quality.
Truely inspiring!

That's lovely work, Hans. I agree--you're going places with your chord progressions that are typically overlooked in--can I say--'this' kind of music? Have you ever heard Flying Monkey Orchestra, the brainchild of producer/keyboardists Rob Mounsey? I get the feeling you'd be mightily impressed and inspired. Back the Pool is my favorite of his.

Thanks Doug,
i really like to crossover between different styles. Omnisphere is a great tool for that because it offers so many different genres under one hood. The totally different sound is always just a mouseclick away!
cyclops
i will certainly check the suggested artist.
