Lots of Omni in this One.

Post  BlackMath on Tue Feb 24, 2009 5:45 am

Hi I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd post a song...

critiques appreciated

Ableton and Omni and some other stuff I can't remember at the moment.

the mp3 is 320kps but I'm not sure if the site compresses further.

Welcome to the forum and thank you very much for sharing your music.
Its a cool tune.
I especially like the drumming and how you incorporated the vocals.
Is that real bass and guitar?

keep em coming!

all the best
Hans

cool thanks for the comment...most people don't take the time..

yeah real guitars and some of the drums were done on a homemade electronic kit with Ableton and BFD2.

I'm just starting to get a workflow going.
more to come.
thanks

Just uploaded a new track...my first attempt at mastering......

check out "Jupiter Beach"

http://www.myspace.com/oxquixotic

it sounds a little muddy but I'm gonna keep working on it....

I could use some perspective from your sound systems.

Hello Blackmath,
I liked the tune very much.
Can you or Hans answer where you guys get the talking vocals at the start
of your tunes? Is it publicly available?

Thanks.

The stuff at archive.org comes with a common creative liscense. And there is a lifetime worth of odd stuff to sample there.
All the politican speeches at earthstation are public domain too.
Youtube is a different story but as long as you dont hit the charts with a song that uses a copyrighted recording it probably doesnt make a difference anyway.
Still i like to make sure that the stuff that i use comes with a CC liscense-just in case......

best
Hans
