Hanging on to Atmosphere

Okay, perhaps a bit early to be posting this but,

Are you planning to de-install Atmosphere or keep it on your PC/Mac as a "smaller" useable synth?

I suppose this would be useful if you've created a lot of your own patches too.

Not here,
But I've only created a few of my own, everything else was manipulated in the DAW, just in case Atmosphere went under...I was nervous, Spectrasonics hadn't come out with anything in sooooo long, I thought they might go under.

Glad to see they didn't.

I have a lot of old projects with Atmosphere, so I'm keeping it in my folder for that at least....

Well,
I've installed Omni and not had a lot of time to play with it.
At the same time I updated my Cubase from VST 32/5.1 to Cubase 4.5 so I'm in the middle of a huge culture shock & learning curve.
I watched the first overview video last night and then asked my wife to help me pick my jaw up off the floor (it had dropped there within minutes). Must say, as a mainly "patch" user, this thing will keep me good forever.

My PC has only 2GB RAM but my trusty man at the computer shop has another 2G on order for me now.

Having said all that, Omni is going to be a greedy beastie and so I'm definitely going to keep Atmosphere, simply to slide the odd warm pad and other things into a track, where Omni may prove too big for the project.

Oh, I hope we have a bad winter so I can settle down in my "pit" and get this beastie singing.
