here are two of my favourite tricks:
assign velocity to timbre shift for multisampled soundsources like the synthwaves and use it like a dynamic formant filter.

run a menu soundsource or a noise/ambient soundsource thru the pipefilter, crank the resonance, adjust the keyfollow for the cutoff so it tracks the keyboard, turn the envelope amount to zero and tune the cutoff so the resulting pitch matches the western scale-a cool way to turn the noise and ambient waveforms and menu soundsources into regularly playable sounds.

Eerie and wicked-try it yourself and you will hear but please remember to keep the volume low when dealing with maximum resonance levels for any type of filter-it can get very nasty.

in the default patch select a sample soundsource and choose one of the menu soundsources like the cellosaurus fx.
next select the one of the pipefilters and put the resonance to max (lower your monitoring level and dont wear headphones) turn the keyfollow all the way to the left so the cutof frequency is tracked by the keyboard chromatically.
turn env to zero in the filter section to avoid any changes in the cutoff freq from the enelope or thru velocity.
finally set a value for the cutoff that tunes the sound to a western scale.
If i remember correctly 161 hz is a good value.
Using that approach you can turn any soundsource in a playable sound.
even white noise works.
i will try to post an example over the weekend

best
Hans
