Automation crashes host

Post  novata on Wed Oct 01, 2008 6:41 am

Hi, this crash has been very consistent and I can only see that Omnisphere is causing the crash.
Basically, I have programmed a stack of four patches which responds to the modulation wheel, so will start of as a nice pad sound which gradually sweeps through 2 other pads and introduces an arp sound when fully rotated. Omnisphere is fine as long as the GUI is on show, I then hide it and start playing, which is sometimes ok but as soon as I touch the modulation wheel Cubase SX3 crashes. I have tried with other instruments and they work fine, it's just Omni.
I have even tried it on Chainer as a host and the same thing happens.

Can anyone try and replicate this crash on their system as I think it is a bug in the software. It would be then worth reporting to Spectrasonics to get this fixed. I can't imagine it's just my system.

Win XP SP3, CPU Q6600 2.4GHz, 3GB SDRAM, Cubase SX3, Omnisphere (1.0.1e)

Hi,

I don't mean to be a pain, but can anyone verify this fault for me?

1. Load a Modwheel crossfade stack into Multi.
2. Play notes and use Modwheel to glide through the loaded patches.
3. Make Omnisphere invisible (close it) then play notes and adjust Modwheel.

This crashes my host everytime and I need to know whether it is my computer causing this to happen or if there is a genuine bug in Omnisphere.

Thanks in advance.
