modulate envelopes by pitch/notes?

Post  mukiw on Tue Jan 17, 2012 11:18 pm

i posted this on gearslutz...but i thought i might have more luck here. Very Happy

can someone please explain to me how to do the following...

ok basically i want to assign an envelope to my waveform that modulates faster the higher i go up in pitch.

i right clicked modulation settings on the 'speed' function in the envelope, and i can see that i can assign it to the modwheel and whatnot, but i'm stumped as to how i can do this by note pitch?

the kind of thing i'm talking about would sound similar to if you slightly detuned two sine waves etc....i just want to be able to do this with an envelope.

cheers in advance

Easy. Enter the MOD matrix zoom.
Set LFO 1 as a source and Target 'pitch fine'.
Then set 'Key tracking' as a source and target LFO 1.
Make sure 'key tracking' is switched on in the edit window.
Adjust the slider controls until you're happy with the result.
