Draft quality mode for Pro-verb!

Post  zerocrossing on Mon Oct 27, 2008 4:00 pm

So, for a while I've been suspecting the Pro-Verb effect for consuming so much of the high CPU usage we've all been dealing with, and I finally got a chance to do a little experimentation and boy-howdy is it greedy. A patch that uses 42% of my core duo's 2 gighz will drop down to 22% as soon as I turn it off. Half the cpu use just for reverb. Sure, the reverb sounds awesome, but here's a request for several modes. High, med, low so that I can bring the patch CPU use down for mixing and then bump it back to high quality when it's time to render out the track. I'd like it even more if it were in a preference or mode button so that it could be changed globally or per patch.

have you tried to turn down the CPU usage parameter in the proverb?
Or try using the EZverb.
